I was down with an Food Poison attack thanks to a lethal combo of Pani Puri Water and Jalapeno Pickle, Like all sick people I was at my Parent's house.
More than the agony of being a sick guy is being without TV, My folks have DishTV which has not been working since the last 10 days.
Every time it drizzles a bit the signal goes kaput and you have to pray that it stops raining and you can resume watching.
But since the last 10 days the signals hasn't been restored, Every time my Dad called them they transferred to him to to some automated response to another before he got fed up and banged the phone down.
I called them up today, after the usual Please restart and check for setting and signal din't work, The customer service guy told that if the technician came we would be charged 170 bucks, I told that this broad daylight looting considering we just paid 170 bucks the last time( a month ago) when the guy had come for the same problem, he said that thier company policy.
Imagine DishTV having 10 lakh subscribers, and if Lord Indra decides to send some more rains and thier fuckall service goes down, you call then and your charged 170 bucks.
Total Booty = 10 lakhs * 170 = 1700 lakhs or 17 crores for sheer cheating.
The matter is not about 170 bucks its about principles, We as consumer should stand up to cheating and bad consumer service.
Sad part is I have already paid my subscription till October, I intend to cancel and ask for refund and move to my local cablewala, he may not have the big brand behind him but he is available on the phone and doesn't charge or loot me for faulty services or go Kaput during rains when you watch TV the most.

P.s No matter what Shahrukh Khan says DishTV still remains a maha fcukall product even if it free or atleast what the spin says.
