Peepli Deferred [live]

Finally after a week of promos and publicity by the greatest marketer of our times, I went and saw Peepli Live at Fame, Malad by paying 300 bucks (280 plus 20 bucks convenience charges for online booking.)

These are my thoughts and views that are still ghumaoing  in my somewhat empty head after watching the movie.

• The disturbing satire is good and shows the true chutya state of apna country and government.

• I dunno whether watching a movie about poverty in the comforts of a Multiplex is a nice idea, the money could have been better used in Vidarbha or Jharkhand.

• You might be poorest person in the world, but there is always money for Bidis, boiled eggs and Desi Daru.

• Natha and Budhia could have got some money if they sold the TV and Lal Bahadur aka Hand Pump.

• Garibi has never been marketed so successfully since Indira Gandhi's times, Great work Aamir & Kiran.

• All FMCG's & IIM guys should land up and do sastaang pranaam at Aamir house for training on "How to Pimp your products"

• MC, BC, G all the colourful gaalis and humour are well timed.

• Amma proves that smoking beedis ensures longevity.

• We have found India's Itchy and Scratchy in Amma and Dhaniya.

• Regional media is hazaar time stronger than the English media, Everyone knows the Sannate ko Chirrthi Sansani Guy, Cameraman Santosh and Deepak Chaurasiya,  Punyaprasoon bajpai, Ravish Kumar, while only the Twitter junta and Manish Tiwari knows Arnab Goswami &  Barkha Dutt.

• I wish Aamir donates some proceeds of the movie to the real heroes of our country. ie. the farmers of India.

• Overall its a nice funny musical documentary but  paying 300 bucks is highway robbery, watch it at Shreyas, Kamran, Diamond or Navrang.

Aamir's next movie is gonna be "Finding Natha", Wanna bet 100 bucks ??
