Bombay's famous dabba, originally uploaded by Bombaylives.
Its been over 8 years that I stopped using the Bombay Dabbawalas tiffin service.
But I still have 2 of these iconic dabba's that I use occasionally to get food from my mom's house.
The dabbawalas are definitely hardworking & efficient with 100% delivery rate & the true rockstars of Bombay
500 bucks per month might be on the higher side for transporting tiffin while you can get a Meal filled dabba for around 1000 bucks
And yes, you have to pay diwali baksheesh for 2 people- Origin & Destination.
Trust me food definitely does taste better when you have it directly from this dabba.
P.s Diamonds traders from Opera House still use the Dabba to transport stuff to the suburbs.
